Movie Review: 28 Weeks Later

The sequel to the cult hit 28 Days Later is a solid film that doesn't surpass the original, but is a great film on its own merit. It doesn't neccessarily require that you've seen 28 Days Later, as none of the characters return, and the film is more a representation of the UK under a US-led force sent to hold up fort and allow for stabilization and repopulation (sound familiar!?).
The film keeps the gritty and indie feel of the first, which is a great thing they did. Because that's what makes the 28 movies so great! The interesting this is what the army begins to do once they've lost control. Really makes you question what's going on over in our "Mission Accomplished" Operation Iraqi Freedom.
It's a renter, not a buyer. But it's definitely worth a watch! If you liked 28 Days Later, you will like 28 Weeks Later. Just don't expect the increase of level as we see with the Saw series.

"Hello! I am officially Miley Cyrus"

Well, it's official! A judge has granted permission for her to change her name from Destiny Hope Cyrus to Miley Cyrus. Even though her parents had a petition (and she is a minor). Gollum's...err...Miley's lawyer simply said it was because she is know so much as Miley that she might as well change her name (legally). Of course. Because Hilary Duff walked around for YEARS as Lizzie and changed her name! Who changes their name over a stage name!? I call it...this girl is headed for T.R.O.U.B.L.E. (but I still love that damn song!!!!)

Incase You Missed It: So You Think You Can Dance
This was incredible from last season! This is a Mia Michaels routine that was incredible! Gave me tears and chills!
This is by Wade Robson! Brilliance!!
This is all is just sick! Cannot wait!!!
Ouch!
That looks painful! He looked like a stiff dancer before the cramp. Check out the live television...
Jesse McCartney - Bleeding Love
So, for those of you who never bought Leona's album, may not know this. Bleeding Love was written by Jesse and One Republic's Ryan Tedder. So, as with the mega hit Umbrella, here's another version featuring Jesse. It's not bad, but of course he has no voice comparable to Leona. It's very different to give him credit. Also sounds like he did a lil T-Pain to his voice lol. Check it out in the Five Must Downloads!
Video Game Review: Mario Kart Wii

So, Mario Kart Wii has been released on the Nintendo Wii (incase you couldn't put the two together on your own). Let's just say; it has a very good aspect and a very bad aspect. The very good aspect; the online mode is ridiculously genius! So much fun, so easy, so many options! Playing up against 11 other people (or 10 if you're doing 2-player), going against Time Trials of other races, viewing rankings, taking part in tournaments. Awesome! The downfall; there is a very unfair balance of items. Meaning, if you're in first (which I have been ALOT), you only get bananas and boxes. NOT fun! I kind of wish someone would throw me back to last. But then, comes 150cc, where that does happen. ALOT! You'll be in first and go right to 12th. That's not fun (I meant I could go back a few spots...not to the end).
Mario Kart Wii is definitely a great game, though. Alot of options, great courses, tons of characters, and the motorcycles are a great addition! HERE WE GO!

Movie Review: Cloverfield
I'll get this out of the way! I impulse bought this movie simply for the reason that J.J. Abrams was the producer. Incase you didn't know, J.J. Abrams is the creator/writer/executive producer of Lost. So I had to see this film. It's an interesting film to say the very least. I feel that depending on how you look at the film, it can either be very well done or kind of "not interesting" to say the least. Let's take the poor route; Godzilla/sci-fi/horror. It fails here! Miserably. It's typical Godzilla type scares and activities (the tail, the throwing of buildings, the army attacking). So nothing really new there. Now, if you look at it that it is a film meant to portray the documentation of a hostile situation; it's awesome! Very different from most films (and yes, this is SO much better than the Blair Witch Project). The acting between the friends is very real and believable. You really feel they are just doing what they would do in real life rather than acting for a Hollywood high budget blockbuster. This film really stands out on its own. I don't want to say too much...but there are portions here that are incredible! It must be watched on a widescreen, HDTV and also with surround sound! TRUST!
Without spoiling the film too much, be prepared for a heart-wrenching ending, a lot of candid moments that are very intense, and a monster who you really don't get any answers about. After all, Cloverfield is NOT about the monster (this is where J.J. is genius); it's about the people and the method of their story. And this is where the movie triumphs.
