So after being introduced by Ryan Seacrest, Alicia Keys performed as well. All we need is Simon Cowell for the coin toss and Fox got the entire American Idol cast for the game...classy use of your trademark rights.
And last but not least, we the National Anthem sung by, oh! Wow! Shocker!!! An American Idol alum!! And no, it was not newly wed Katharine McPhee (although, that would've been a nice wedding gift, Fox). Jordin Sparks sung a beautiful National Anthem! This brings back memories of Whitney Houston. Let's hope atleast Jordin won't crack out and lose her voice in 20 years!
And I will be very very nice, and not say a word about Hootie and the Blowfish...errr...I mean Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. I get all of those old hacks mixed up.

Jordin was obviously lipsynching the National Anthem. It's too bad, because she has a great voice. It's the hardest song to sing, though... so I won't hold it against her.
I'm happy for Paula, even if she wasn't the best act out there she was so happy to be up on stage again!
